BIOGRAFIA

Jorge Hernan Martinez nacio en Bogota, Colombia; estudio en la Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, en donde se graduo de abogado en Octubre de 1988. Se especializo en Derecho Penal y Criminologia en la Universidad Externado de Colombia.

Trabajo en la Rama Judicial desde sus tiempos de estudiante y al gradaurse paso de secretario de un Juez de Instruccion Criminal Ambulante a Representante del Ministerio Publico ante los Juzgados de Instruccion Criminal de Bogota.

De alli paso a la Direccion General de Aduanas como abogado de la Subdireccion de Control y luego fue Jefe de la Division de Investigaciones Disciplinarias.

Despues de la fusion con Impuestos Nacionales fue abogado de la Administracion de Personas Naturales, abogado de la Division Operativa de la Aduana de Bogota y finalizo como abogado de la Division Juridica de la Administracion Especial Aduanera de Bogota.

Practico en su oficina privada entre 1995 y 2001, fecha en la que se traslado a la ciudad de Cincinnati, Ohio en los Estados Unidos, en donde vive con su esposa y tres hijos.

BIOGRAPHY

Jorge Hernan Martinez was born in Bogota, Colombia; studied at the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada where he obtained a Law degree in October 1988. He specialized in Criminal and Penal Law on the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

He worked in the judicial branch while studying and after graduation moved from Criminal Judge Clerk to attorney representing the city in front of the Criminal Judges of the city.

After that he went to work for the Customs national office as an attorney of the Control Office and was the chief of the Internal Investigations Division.

When the Customs and Taxes offices were joined he went to work as an attorney of the Private Individuals Taxes Administration, then as an attorney for the Operative Division of the Special Customs Administration of Bogota, ending his work for the goverment as an attorney of the Legal Division of the same Administration.

He practiced in his private law firm from 1995 to 2001, when he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he lives with his wife and three children.
